Nhậu Tank

Nhậu is a Vietnamese cultural practice of celebrating for no reason. Usually surrounding drinks, food, and gambling games. 

Vietnamese people tend to participate in Nhậu during any hour of the day. Sitting, eating, drinking, and celebrating for no reason. Indulging in one another’s company, catching up, laughing, playing games like Thien Len or bingo were all popular activities to do while in Vietnam.

I was inspired by this cultural desire to celebrate for nothing because in America we’re taught that there has to be reason for every little thing. But in a workaholic culture where mental health and rest are truly not valued, I question if our culture needs a little more Nhậu in our lives. When was the last time you celebrated for no apparent reason?

Let this tank be a reminder to take stock of your life and see how more Nhậu culture can fit into it.
